DATES FOR YOUR DIARY 2026

Where can you hear my talks, and buy books from me in person?

This is a quieter year for me as I have a lot of writing commitments - and the research won't do itself! I'm still out and about with the Folklore Library and Archive, so check out their social media to see what they're up to.

I have some very exciting events coming up in the second half of 2026.

UPDATE:
I'm speaking at Sidmouth Folk Festival on Thurs 6th August at 5pm in the Arts Centre - Mark and I will be sharing some of Devon's wonderful, rich lore. Get tickets here.

We're at Dartmoor Folk Festival again this year (8th/9th August) with the Folklore Library & Archive. Come and find our table and chat to us, share a Devon anecdote to be added to our audio archives, and help us raise funds for the charity's ongoing work - we will have items for sale. You can learn more about what we do on Sunday 9th August at 9.30am in the Church House, South Zeal, when we'll be talking about our work, and some of Devon's Hobby Horses. Get tickets here.

Local to Devon? I'm going to be part of the Chulmleigh Makers and Creators event on Saturday 26th September, and all-day drop-in event across the town, featuring many of our incredibly talented local artisans. More details shortly!

If you are interested in family history, you can hear me talking about Devon's Forgotten Witches at The Durrant House Hotel in Bideford on Saturday 10th October 2026 at the Devon Family History Society's 50th Anniversary Residential Conference, which runs from 9-11th October. Check out their website here to add yourself to the waiting list for conference tickets.

I'll be at the Great Torrington Book Fair at the Castle Community Centre and Gardens on Saturday 5th December 2026, 10am-3pm. There's a cafe on site, so it's the perfect chance to pick up some Christmas gifts, and then enjoy a book of your own over a coffee. I'll have Who Is Anna Stenberg?, Dark Folklore, Devon's Forgotten Witches 1860-1910, Cards, Cocoa and Charms, Sammy's Saturday Job and the full-cast audio of WITCH available. Mark will also be there with many of his titles.
