Destitute Margery Scrope has been accused of witchcraft by her neighbour Thomas Latimer, who believes she is responsible for his daughter's death and his son's illness. Margery must plead for her life before magistrate Sir William Tyrell. Is Margery really guilty, and, if so, of what?
